There are some meanings behind the name of Bali. One of the important meaning is the island of offering. That’s why Balinese love to make offerings.
There’s something missing inside if the Balinese do not make offering, especially in the holy days. Few who deeply realize, offering is also an expression of love.
In the case of Balinese offering, it’s a complete love. There’s love to lower realms (segehan, penunggun karang). There’s love to middle realm.
From the day of birth till the day of death, there are many offerings to purify the soul of Balinese. And of course there’s offering to higher realms.
Since this is kali yuga (age of darkness), very very few seekers who deeply follow the path of love. In the beginning, the lover and the loved are two.
The worshipper and the worshipped are two. Quoting from Upanishad: “I’ve been lost in seeking. Later I found myself in serving. Finally I know, the servant and the served are one”.
Yoga is one of the path in this case. Read this message carefully: “Yoga is a systematic attack to ego”. In other words, be careful to ego.
On the path of meditation, pure awareness is the highest attainment. The book of “Supreme Yoga” by Sri Yoga Vasistha called it Brahman, the Buddhist called it perfect enlightenment.
Whatever the name, as soon as one attain pure awareness, love is no longer an obligation. Love is your natural nature. As natural as flower which is beautiful.
In this stage, there’s transformation from 2 (lover and loved are two) to 1 (both are one), from 1 to 0 (The supreme silence. Balinese elders called it Embang).
Imagine that we can transmit this peaceful spirit to the incoming world leaders of G 20, there are many human tragedies like war and conflict can be reduced.
Welcome to Bali world leaders of G20. It is such an honour to share the peaceful vibration of Bali island to all of you. May all beings are happy…
