If you’re keen enough in entering Balinese temples, outside the temples there are statues with the cloth of black and white.
Meaning, both black and white are you. Don’t try to remove the black. As soon as you remove the black, you remove the white as well.
The same thing happen with segehan (food for lower realms). It reminds us to take good care of the inner satan. By accepting yourself as you are.
In the language of modern psychology, the more you resist the more it will persist. The more one try to remove inner darkness, the more it will disturb.
What is clearly written in the local genius of Bali island, learn to embrace all dualites such as sad-glad, sorrow-joy using the philosopy of rwa-bhineda.
In the mother temple of Besakih (eastern part of Bali), the Balinese elder even built super special temple called Kiwa-Tengen. Located at the very center.
The message is clean and clear, the left (Kiwa) which is considered as not positive by the ordinary people, is enseparable with the right (Tengen).
If we use the terminology of western psychology, do not always run away from sadness. Without reading the chapter of sadness, soul journey will never be complete.
And such incomplete soul will always grow from one darkness into another darkness. That’s also the deepest root of violence, conflict and even war.
The good news then, if we are blessed to share the last local genius of Bali island to the world leaders, many violence and conflict can be reduced here on earth.
Welcome to Bali world leaders of G20. It is such an honour to share the peaceful vibration of Bali island to all of you. May all beings are happy…
